Please stop buying garlic paste!

When it’s as easy as this, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t make it yourself.  Like most bulbs (most people mistakenly believe it’s a herb), it’s way better fresh.

I would go so far as to say don’t even buy the jarred stuff.

Trust me, it makes a difference!

One quick thing I noticed is that she uses the sharp edge of her knife for scraping – I prefer to use the top of the blade so as to not dull my expensive knife – it will stay sharper a lot longer.

Slice and chop the garlic before adding a sprinkling of course salt.  Then, using your knife, drag across the garlic – scrape it back into a pile and then repeat until you have a paste.
