Veggies In Season

Fresh is best.

Not only do fresh vegetables taste better, but buying veggies that are in season is better for the environment.

It takes less work, money and stress on the land to produce.

Buying veggies that are in season requires less shipping and storing, as well as letting the farms pick when they’re fresh, instead of well before and letting them finish ripening during long transports over seas.

Many restaurants are switching their menus to rotate based on what’s in season. Instead of fighting mother nature, they’re working with her, and opening up a whole world of new possibilities.

So before your next trip to the farmer’s market, check out this little chart to help you visualize when your favorite vegetables are in season.
